Terms of Service
Effective September 23, 2026. Written to be read — if something is unclear, email and ask.
These terms are an agreement between you and The Grove Pickleball LLC ("we", "us"), a Texas company that runs two indoor pickleball facilities in Dallas. They cover everything at leagues.grovepickleball.com: the Dallas Premier Pickleball League (DPPL) page, the team board, the Watch section, Grove Exchange and Pick'em, and the league software at /start. By using the site you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
On this page
The services
- The league page shows DPPL rosters, standings, schedule, results, player profiles and video, and lets anyone with the link enter scores.
- Grove Exchange and Pick'em are free play-money games about league matches. Their official rules are below.
- The league software lets any organizer create and run their own league page. It is free during the current launch period.
We may change, pause or stop any part of the site at any time. If we ever charge for the league software, we will say so on the site in advance, and nothing will be charged to you without your agreement.
Who can use the site
You must be at least 13 to use the site. To win a prize you must meet the eligibility rules in the Official Rules, including being 18 or older.
Links, keys and score entry
- There are no accounts. Access works through links and keys stored in your browser.
- Commissioner links control a league. Anyone who has a league's commissioner link can change it. Keep yours private. You are responsible for what happens through your link, and we cannot tell who used it.
- Your exchange key is your identity on the Exchange. If you lose it or clear your browser data, your play-money balance and history on that key cannot be recovered or transferred.
- Score entry is open by design. Anyone with a league's link can enter scores. Enter only results you actually know. Every change is logged, and the league's commissioner (for the DPPL, The Grove) can correct or undo any entry. For the DPPL, official results and standings are what the league decides, not whatever was last typed in.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- Harass, threaten, bully or impersonate anyone, or post hateful, sexual or demeaning content — including in display names, profiles and photos.
- Enter false scores, lineups or results, or change someone else's league without authority.
- Manipulate the Exchange or Pick'em: multiple identities, colluding with other traders, exploiting bugs, or trying to affect the result of a real match.
- Post anyone's contact details, private information or photos without their permission.
- Scrape the site in a way that burdens it, get around its limits, probe for weaknesses, or interfere with how it runs. Reasonable personal use of what is shown on a page is fine; bulk copying of player data is not.
- Use the site for anything unlawful, or to send spam or malware.
We may remove content, reverse changes, reset exchange balances, disqualify contest entries, or block access if we believe these terms have been broken.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you add — profile details, photos, display names, and league information you enter. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, display and copy it as needed to run the site and show it on league pages and at our facilities, for as long as it stays on the site. That permission ends when the content is removed, except for copies in routine backups and results that other people's records depend on.
You promise that you have the right to post what you post, and that anyone clearly shown in a photo you upload is okay with it. Anyone can ask for their name, photo or profile to be corrected or removed — see the Privacy Policy.
Organizers using the league software
If you create a league at /start, you are its organizer, and you agree that:
- You have permission from every player you list to post their name, gender and DUPR rating publicly, and you will remove anyone who asks.
- You will not list anyone under 13, and you will have a parent's or guardian's permission before listing anyone under 18.
- You will not enter contact information or anything sensitive about players.
- If you use the DUPR sync, you do it with your own DUPR account, only for players in your league, and in line with DUPR's own terms.
- You are responsible for your league's content and for how you run your league — fees, rules, disputes and communications with your players are between you and them. We are not a party to them.
- We may edit or remove a league, or a player from it, to respond to a removal request, a legal complaint, or a breach of these terms.
The league software is provided free and as is during the current launch period. We do not promise it will always be available, and we may change how it works. Keep your own records of anything that matters to you.
DUPR
DUPR is a trademark of its owner. This site and The Grove Pickleball LLC are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by DUPR. Ratings are shown as reported by DUPR or entered by an organizer, may be out of date, and are not guaranteed to be accurate. Questions about a DUPR rating itself belong with DUPR.
Video
Courts at The Grove's facilities may be recorded and livestreamed, as described in the facility waiver. Livestreams and replay clips on the site are for personal viewing. Please do not re-upload or use them commercially without our permission. If a clip shows you and you want it removed, email us.
Grove Exchange & Pick'em — Official Rules (Play Money)
No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to play or to win. This is a free game of skill, not gambling. Play money (G$) has no cash value. Void where prohibited.
1. Administrator
Grove Exchange and Pick'em (together, the "Games") are run by The Grove Pickleball LLC, 1461 Wycliff Ave, Dallas, TX 75207. Weekly prizes are provided by the sponsor named on the Exchange page for that week, or by us. Our decisions on anything about the Games are final.
2. Play money only
- Every player gets G$ play money for free when they join, and can get free reloads.
- G$ cannot be bought, sold, deposited, withdrawn, cashed out, transferred or exchanged for anything of value. There is nothing to pay, ever.
- Prices, positions and balances are a game and are not an offer, a financial product or advice.
3. Eligibility
- Anyone 13 or older may play.
- To win a prize you must be at least 18 and a legal resident of the United States. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
- People who administer the Games, settle markets or can edit DPPL results for The Grove, and members of their households, may play but cannot win prizes.
- DPPL players may play, but must never try to affect how a real match turns out. Doing so disqualifies you and may remove you from the league.
4. How to enter
Open the Exchange or Pick'em on the league page and join with a display name. That is the entire entry. One identity per person: joining more than once, or playing on behalf of someone else, can disqualify every identity involved. Your display name must follow the Acceptable use rules above.
5. Contest period
Each weekly contest follows the league week: it runs from Thursday through the end of Wednesday league night, Central Time, as shown on the Exchange page. The Games run during the DPPL season and may be paused between seasons.
6. Scoring
- Exchange. Your weekly score is how much your G$ net worth grew during the week, not counting free reloads (each reload is subtracted from your score).
- Pick'em. One point for each correct pick. A correct draw pick counts double. Picks lock when a match starts.
- Markets settle on official league results. We may void a market, cancel orders or reverse trades affected by an error, a bug, a scoring correction or abuse, and adjust balances to match.
- To keep trading possible, an automated market maker run by us posts prices on the Exchange. It is not eligible for prizes.
7. Winners and odds
- The top three weekly Exchange scores above zero win that week's prize, if one is offered. Ties are broken by higher G$ net worth, then by our decision.
- A Pick'em prize is offered only when the page says so for that week or season, and is won by the top Pick'em score for that period, ties broken by our decision.
- There is no random drawing. Your chance of winning depends on your skill and on how many people play and how well they play.
- Winners are listed on the page by display name.
8. Prizes
- Each week's prize, if any, and its approximate value are described on the Exchange page before the week begins. If no prize is shown, the week is played for fun only.
- Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. A sponsor or we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the original is unavailable.
- Winners are responsible for any taxes. If the law requires a tax form, you must provide it to receive the prize.
9. Claiming a prize
Email mo@grovepickleball.com or ask at the front desk within 14 days after the week ends. To claim, you must show that you control the winning exchange key (for example, by showing it signed in on your device) and show ID confirming you are 18 or older. Unclaimed prizes, or prizes for winners who are not eligible, are forfeited and are not passed down to the next player.
10. Disqualification and changes
We may disqualify anyone who breaks these rules, manipulates the Games, or acts unsportingly. If fraud, a technical failure or anything else outside our control affects a contest, we may change, suspend or cancel it, and award prizes based on the scores before the problem, or not at all.
11. Release
By accepting a prize, you release The Grove Pickleball LLC and the prize sponsor from claims arising from the prize or from taking part in the Games, to the extent the law allows. Sponsors are not responsible for running the Games.
Copyright complaints
If you believe a photo or other content on the site infringes your copyright, send a notice to mo@grovepickleball.com (subject "Copyright notice") or by mail to The Grove Pickleball LLC, 1461 Wycliff Ave, Dallas, TX 75207. Include:
- the work you believe was copied, and the link to where it appears on the site;
- your name, address, phone number and email;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
We will remove the material and tell the person who posted it, if we can reach them. If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you can send us a counter-notice with the same details and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or the Northern District of Texas). We remove repeat infringers' content and may block their access.
Other sites and services
The site links to or embeds services we do not control, including DUPR, YouTube and video streaming providers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them, and we are not responsible for them.
Disclaimers
The site and the league software are provided as is and as available, free of charge, without warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Scores, standings, ratings, prices and video may be wrong, late or missing. Playing pickleball at our facilities is covered by the facility waiver, not by these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, The Grove Pickleball LLC and its owners, staff and sponsors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits or lost standings, arising from the site. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Indemnity
If you post content, run a league, or break these terms, and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, including legal fees, to the extent the law allows.
Ending use
You can stop using the site at any time. We may suspend or end anyone's access, or remove any league, if these terms are broken or to protect the site or its players. The sections on your content, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law continue after that.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be decided only in the state courts located in Dallas County, Texas, or the federal court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Before filing anything, please email us first — most problems can be fixed quickly.
Changes and the fine print
We may update these terms. When we do, this page changes and the date at the top moves; continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the site. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
